"LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF"
For years, our church stepped in to help our community, when called - irrespective of the religious, ethnical or cultural background of our neighbours in need.
We stepped in to feed the homeless of St James park in San Jose, and the streets of San Francisco.
The ladies’ reunion brough food and toys, on several occasions, to the Catholic Workers house in Redwood City.
We helped elders from our town who could not pay their moving expenses (and helped them move). The parishioners helped a Vietnamese mom and her children who came each Sunday, at the end of our services, to ask for money and food for her family.
In fall 2019, we provided funds for rent, food and utilities to a Latino family of five, from San Jose, who unjustly lost their social security and faced eviction, thus homelessness.
WE ARE NOW ASKING FOR FUNDS FOR A FATHER OF 8 CHILDREN, WHO LOST HIS SIGHT, THUS HIS ABILITY TO PROVIDE FOR HIS FAMILY.
We ask for nothing in return - but we are showered with their gratitude!
PLEASE HELP THEM!
